Well...there is always a story. Ours started when we got to CFP and the driver side trailer tire was almost flat leaking air. Much thanks to everyone who helped us get it changed quickly. Got on the water and on blast off headed to our first spot. 15-20 minutes and Dusty had boated a small fish, then our first keeper on a shaky head. We noticed a few fish jumping around so I finally picked up a Sammy and casted right on top of one. Took him two shots to get it but he finally hooked and got him to the boat. About 30 minutes later, caught another one the exact same way. Caught a few more small fish after that, then headed to the a grass mat, where we missed on blow up on a frog. At that point we noticed the battery seemed to be almost dead and showed voltage in the 10.4 area on the electronics. Decided to get back to CFP around 12:45 and stayed there the rest of the day. Was a tough day for all, but we escaped and headed home right as the big storm hit.

Will have to get tire replaced/repaired and battery replaced but not that big a deal in the big picture of things. My wife, a parapro at a local Middle School, received news that a fellow Parapro lost her husband to an electrocution accident and also lost a student at the middle school in a car accident Saturday afternoon. My problems are tiny compared to what these families are going through. I almost feel ashamed I was made at being a little over a pound out of some money with the real problems other people face.
