My brother was off the coast of Washington fishing for Halibut & Salmon. A pod of Gray Whales surrounded the boat. One grabbed the downrigger ball in its mouth and headed for the bottom! They thought it would rip the rigger right off the boat. It eventually spit it out. Pretty exciting stuff!
