Thank you Bigox for your report it proved very helpful, I had my personal best day today. My buddy canceled on me at the last minute. I decided to go alone. I was on the water at 7:30 and buzzed over to the meadows, where I fished a tube for 40 minutes with no love, so I switched to trolling a gold 2/3 oz. Jakes flatlined on one side and a gold and red Thomas spoon on the down rigger at 10 feet. The magic speed for me was 2.5 to 3 mph in 25 to 45 feet of water. The water temp was 48.5 and there was very little green slime. I had to quit at 2:00pm with 48 fish landed, no slot buster I took home 2 small cuts and 2 small rainbows.

Nice report. I too decided to give the meadows a try the other day. We caught over 40 long lining tubes and lures. Very fun. No big ones over 22 doing that however. Kept a couple of 15 inchers for the BBQ.

It should only get better.
