Newton w/SkunkedAgain

We made it out to Newton today. Ice was 2 3/4" to 4". All I caught were 4" perch, but we couldn't get to our desired spot due to ice issues. Well maybe next time!

Hey Devin was nice to meet you and sorry about the poor fishing. It’s really bad when your biggest fish isn’t quite 7”. Most of the fish were shorter than the ice thickness and that wasn’t good. That was the scariest ice I’ve been on this year. Twice I thought I was going swimming when the ice dropped on me and luckily didn’t break through. Variable ice thicknesses all over and not good conditions I won’t fish it again till it doubles in thickness it was not good. I should have went minimalist today instead of the smitty and nanook I had way too much gear for the conditions. Thanks for joining me and hopefully next I’ll take ya somewhere worth fishing. Later J
