Now is that how you try to scare away the folks so you can get some clear ice? I think by the weekend you may have enough new ice around other ponds that it may not be a problem at mantua anymore... I haven't been to Mantua lately, is it getting really busy? Guess I'll check on the way home from work today, I imagine with everyone off for the holidays that it's a little busier than usual...

I'm sure hoping on some cold this week, my secondary pond is actually getting thinner... There was 3.5" Saturday and it was down to 2.75" on Monday and the top half inch was white ugly ice... was surprised I didn't go swimming... But I didn't take much gear, just a couple poles and the jigging jaw jacker... and a little bait... I was out on before I realized the ice had gotten thinner, was lucky I didn't go swimming since I didn't check the ice that morning... Anyway good luck and hope you can find a spot between the camps... later J
