Boyd lake ice, fishing

Fished Boyd yesterday for a few hours. the ice is still 5-6in. and more in the marina. Fishing was pretty slow but we did get a couple rainbows and one small bass. There is a lot of standing water on the ice in some places it was a inch or more, and the ice is pretty slick. The inlet from henracy lake has a lot of broken ice right at the mouth to Boyd, be careful, we went to the shore and around that spot.

Thanks for the report Chuck, sounds like you are having the same conditions there as we are here, it's looking like the beginning of the end for the ice fishing season. Good to hear you are still catching some fish.

Yeah it was looking pretty bad last week but now this week has been bitter cold -3 the other morning and still the same this morning. Looks like it going to stay cold for a few more. I might run down there today for a few. I think it’s going to get into the 30’s today.
