Took a recon drive to Willard North and the Bear River today. Willard east side from about feed lot to freeway bay is open water. North marina has skim ice in most of the marina area, then open at the outlet channel and up along Eagle Beach.
Bear River Bird Refuge from entrance to the bottom gates is mostly open water. Level seems to be up quite a bit and water flowing strong. Some ice around edges.
There were 3 guys fishing at the lower bridges, looked to be working white jigs for Walleye.
