Maybe one time to the well too many....ice conditions good, ingress/egress path to ice was packed and solid, edges solid...solunar fish charts said "Good fishing day", so we were pretty optimistic....But the fish had their own plans....which was not to bite - at least the perch....0730 to 1230, very cold and some wind....perch 'seen' off the bottom most of the time, but only 5 or 6 tiny taps all A.M., and 0 caught, trying perch eye, perch meat, wax worm, all on lures that had previously done well..even a Gulp minnow - zilch....no perch for my buddy in his tent either, but we each got 2 rainbows, so officially no skunk...not many on this res. for a holiday...Not giving up yet!
