A couple of my in-iaws, tough young bucks, accessed DC from the pullout just north of the island today. It is very steep and you have to lift your stuff over the guardrail, so it would take two to do it unless you just took a pack. There are a couple of planks there right now. Anyway, it might be a last-gasp option for diehard ice anglers. They caught a few trout including a 19" beast, as they called it.
