Joes valley 3/16
#1
Got to joes valley at 7 am on Saturday. 9 degrees when we got there. Unloaded on the east boat dock. Walked onto the ice, zero slush and hard snow....excellent conditions. Walked half mile to the the south towards dam, and started along east shore. Ice is about 22”, Fished for a bit, then made the trek to the dam. Fished till about 2:30. Landed a total of 13 fish. 12 splake, biggest one about 19”, and one decent cutty. Almost all fish were caught in 30’. Not real fast, but beauty day. Only two other guys out there and that was it! Then, had to walk all the back, and by that time it was 45 degrees!

Thanks for the report and pic.[Smile]

You should be able to ice fish there for quite awhile longer, with the snow cover and the level dropping.

Nice need to make a hard deck trip there in future.

Any Chubs?

Per info Chubs are down and managed as a forge fish for sterile predators stocked that frequent various water columns.

No chubs. Was hoping for one though. Almost used up all of our bait, and was hoping to catch one just in case!
