I've been itching to fish Riverpark for some spots but the flow has just been too much since early November. When I went home Friday evening across the dam I was very happy to see they finally stopped spilling water. Ended up with a few hours to spare mid day on Saturday and decided I was going for it. Riverpark ramp was still closed so I put in at Rivermont. I fished for about 3 hours and only had one bite, that I know of! The wind was very strong. Water temps ranged from 56 to I did see 61 in the back of a small shallow pocket but most temps were around 58 for the time I was on the water. Water clarity was very good. I fished shallow and deep with a variety of baits and no luck. I tried to focus on eddys and current breaks but the fish just weren't playing, at least for me. I did a lot of fishing but no catching. Finally got tired of fighting the wind and the cold front that was expected was moving in as the air temps started falling so I put the boat on the trailer and went to the house. Better days are ahead, that's my story.
