Strawberry report 4-6
#1
I went up with my boys again. A neighbor and his boy joined us this time.
We fished CCE and were the first ones in the parking lot at about 8:30 this morning. Edges are getting a little soft but still accessible.
We caught a bunch of cutts. No bows. Orange glow or white with red specks was the ticket today. They wanted meal worms.
Fished in 29 fow, same place as last time. Fish were on the bottom or around 15’. The suspended ones were way more aggressive.
My 6 year old got the biggest fish again. It was 21” and felt north of 3lbs. He was excited and so was dad.
We did have a potty break during the trip. 2 different groups helped shuttle us to and fro with their snowmobiles. There are nice people in the world, contrary to what we see in the news.

Thanks for the report, sounds like a good time was had by all, Were the Orange glow or white with red specks, Maniac lures? If so, were they Cutters or gillzillas?

I have used those with good success at times, they work well for trout.
