Hadn't started raining this morning and unACCU Weather said rain wouldn't start for 120 minutes so I loaded up the dog and boat and headed to Willard Bay, North Marina. 10 minutes later, I arrived along with rain. Wasn't bad so the dog and I headed towards Eagle Beach. Stopped in 15 FOW and threw a purple flig over the side tipped with cut bait. While I was rigging the other rod with a blue flig, the purple one started to bounce. Must have dropped that sucker right on top of a dumb one's head. Turned out to be a fat 21 inches. Finally got both rods out and twenty minutes later, the rain really began to fall. Headed back to the Marina, loaded the boat and came home with a dinner guest. Yup, it pays to be lucky versus good.
