Provo Carp

Went down to Provo boat harbor this afternoon at 2:30 pm. Spend a couple hours thinning out carp and ended up getting about 9 with a few of which fell off the arrow. Got one funky looking one that was mostly white with some black. There were a decent amount of carp rolling and even though it's just the beginning, there were eggs covering every piece of submerged foliage! One guy near me was fishing for carp and caught a couple but I was too far away from any game fisherman to see if there was any success.

It's that time already huh? I haven't been to the lake because of all the crappy weather we've been having but if there are carp in the shallows, it may be time to go kill a few with the bow and gather cat bait for the year. I figured it was still too cold for that and catfish but judging from the posts on the forum, that isn't the case.
