Diagnostic Testing Transducers

Occasional I'll look at Airmar for an upgrade to a transducer for my fishfinder. While there I came across an interesting youtube video about a tool Airmar has, a Diagnostic Tester for checking any transducer on the market. With the newer chirp technology one has to pay attention to checking those types in the driveway. Transducers can overheat if not in the water. I haven't been able to find a price on this tester but only imagine it requires a mortgage payment. However, if you have issues with your xducer you can either find a shop that has this tester or similar, purchase your own tester, or in my case opt for a new xducer saving the extra from the purchase of the tester. Transducers always seem to take all of the abuse as it is.
