I just picked up my aluminum sled to pull behind my snowmobile. It is extremely light and sturdy. My jumbo Jet Sled fits perfectly on top of it.

I saw a similar one on the classifieds a little while back and thought about forwarding it to you. After looking around at other items for a bit I couldn't find it anymore. Looks like it worked out anyways. Good find.

Thanks. I'm going to replace the skis with wider ones.
[Edit: after visiting my local D.I. store I decided to first try using it with the current ski's ( 2 7/8" wide) and if they are not adequate then look for some wider skis.]

Kent, You may still be able to ice fish Fishlake?
Did you buy that sled from my buddy Sterling?
He custom makes aluminum sleds.

Looks a little like my pvc one posted here. But I don't see anything front or back to hold the jet sled from sliding off. Looks pricy.

Looks really nice Kent, congrats... That will be nice to handle... Sure love my Smitty's, they make the ice fishing a blast, especially when you can take them with the snowmobile into the back country... Later Jeff

I will be putting a couple bolts through the top sides of the sled to permanently attach the Jet Sled to the aluminum sled.
It only cost me $75. The guy made it for a friend who couldn't afford to purchase it, so I was able to pick it up.

I am so jealous. You will love it. It is amazing how much easier a smitty pulls. Why do you think it needs wider skies?

It may not need wider skis; however, I would rather make sure it stays on top of the snow (when the snow is powdery or perhaps even when it is slushy) rather than going through the snow.
