Wiperslayer and I got out there yesterday morning at 6am. Talked to TubeDude and Fat Biker for a few minutes before we launched. Also saw Trapper25 and ZUKI_BLUE out on the lake. We started off making a lap around the Island but after marking few fish we decided to head over to the West dike. We trolled cranks and then did some bottom bouncing with worm harnesses for a few hours with no luck but just as we were reeling in to move a walleye hit, so we got one in the boat. We then headed toward the Island again with nothing to show for our efforts until we got just past the Island and caught our first Wiper of the day, it was one of the larger ones around 22". We quickly made another pass through that spot and again another wiper but just when we got the lure up so we could see it we noticed a line connected to the lure, we went to grab the line and the wiper took that moment to make his escape. The line was a green colored braid with what we thought was likely a mussel hook attached. We made another pass and again another wiper and again we got it up to the lure only to see another line connected to the lure. This time it was a brown braid line and the fish stayed hooked long enough to get it in. Wow, what are the odds of two seperate wipers or maybe the same fish being hooked by two different braided line setups and it breaking them both and we caught it twice off of different a line[crazy], seem almost impossible but it happened. We made one more pass through that spot and again, another wiper but this one was caught when we stopped and were reeling in our lines to leave. So if you are keeping track that's two fish caught as we were reeling in to leave and two fish caught that were caught by snagging a braided line.[crazy] What a crazy day. It was a nice day but the catching wasn't great, except for a few lucky things happening[Wink]. No pics, eye was 17" but I'm sure you have all seen one that size. Good to see all you BFT guys out there, hopefully with this warming trend coming, things will improve soon.

All the pressure in the channel I bet has taken many poles out that way. [laugh] to bad you didn't catch a few fishing poles.
