2 bodies of water...............
#1
2 skunks.......for me anyway.
Went to Willard Bay yesterday morning. Got out on the water about 9 a.m. Was just breezy enough to keep the bugs down. Wife boated one 21 inch Cat, then the wind came up strong and steady, so we headed in.

Still had bait left and was only about 12 noon, so made the run further north to the Bear River. River level is way down at the first couple fishing spots. But the 3 gates at the bottom are all closed, so the level from about the boat ramp to the bridges is still up.

Wind was steady and strong, but that's a good thing at the river, keeps all the man-eating flys away [cool]
Spent a couple hours at one spot near the duck boat ramp. Had lots of tugs and nibbles, but nothing hooked.

You can't win them all, sometimes things are stacked against you. I really, really hate not catching but that's why they call it fishing and not catching. You have to figure that the fishing Gods owe you one, anyway thats my opinion and I am sticking to it otherwise I would just go crazy.

That's one way to look at it I guess..........
how bout when I'm not in a boat, and by myself ? Like today. Had to get new tires on my truck, so got up to Bear River late (1030 a.m.) And I got skunked again......[:/]

I did get a good check out of the "SkeeterBeaters" I bought. Now I can sit in my truck with windows down, watch my poles, and not get eaten by the hoards of biting flies. [Wink]

Those look sweet! Now if I could find some that fit over my boat and have magnets that stick to Aluminum I'd be ready for summer!

Actually I said that about the skunk because most of the time when I have other people in my boat, they are using my rods, tackle and bait. I'm choosing the location and presentation etc. I just feel like if the boat was successful, so was I.

If I have a good fisherman in the boat and I get skunked, I got skunked[Wink]
