Gooseberry camping

Does anyone know if there are camping spots and bathrooms available within walking distance of the lake besides in the campground? Also, how has the fishing been?

There isn't any camping at the lake other than the campground. There is one restroom in the campground and one near the dam. I guess if you have a trailer or motorhome you could park near the dam in the large turnaround area.

There is another campground up the road before you get to Gooseberry but you would have to drive to the lake.

We stayed there a few years back and there was a section of fence that was down so we shared the campground with several cows that made a few deposits in our camp spot.[:/]
