Do canoes need any sort of licence?

BLM's post about the Gorge has me wondering if any silly and or stupid laws will bite my canoe in the butt. Does anyone know of anything I should know? All I know about canoes is what is in the proclamation. Thanks.

Only if you mount any kind of motor on it....be it electric or gas.

I believe Shrimpboy is right. As long as there is no motor no liscense is nessecary.

I believe you need to license them if you put up a sail also. I've had my cannoe for 15 or so years and have never needed to license it.

i have fished from a canoe most of my life and i have never been hasseled so im pretty sure no motor no registration.
