Got out early with my Mother wanting to fish some. We hit the bridge first with topwater both shallow and deep. No takers, tried a dropshot, crank and t-rig in the deeper water with no bites. Started back up river and fished some island edges and points caught a 2.5 off some lay downs and then on the way to the next island set I stopped and through up on a hump and landed a 5.25. Both of those were caught on a t-rig going slow. The big one had a belly and bloody tail to my surprise. We fished some more pockets and caught a few on fluke where the shad were being chased. mostly slicks then the wake boats got to going and the heat came on so we called it a day.
