Blacksmith Fork area colors

Made another run up the Blacksmith/Hardware Ranch area checking out areas for hunting, getting familiar with the area and to see how the fall colors were progressing. Last weekend it was just starting but today there was some spectacular areas. Did see some does and fresh elk tracks

Such vivid colors, very beautiful. I too use to fish that river but that goes back to the 70's for me. When the snows start taking hold of the mountains the elk herd winter at Hardware Ranch WMA. There are tours riding sleighs through the herd.
