Does anyone know if snow machines are running over the ice at Scofield yet?

We saw a couple running right along the east edge a couple of weekends ago. 5” of ice then, but newly formed. We thought they were crazy! 😜

A report posted on 12/7 said there were machines on the ice.

I was out on the ice this morning. A few slush pockets, but otherwise it was solid. We went out to the island. Just keep your speed up is all.

I had to call in sick so I could go to Lake Powell!

Pretty tough to keep your speed up if you plan to fish. Speed trolling and ice fishing are not compatible. [fishon]

The bright side is we caught 42 nice sized fish. Average was about 16” and the biggest was 20”.

Those are the biggest fish I have seen caught through the ice at Scofield in 5 years. Nice work boys.
