Mill Meadow

Had a good day at Mill Meadow today arrived at the boat ramp just after 8:00 the temperature was 4 degrees, winds were calm and sunny. Three of us fished for five hours ended up catching catching 53 fish. we were using white tube jigs and green paddle bugs tipped with mealworms. The fish would only take the jigs if they were moving, they weren’t as interested if it was just sitting there. Most of the fish were caught off the bottom at 20 feet.

Were you catching perch or trout? Any size to the fish?

We didn’t catch a single perch all were trout mostly browns with a few rainbows mixed in. Biggest one was 15 inch rainbow. we caught 7 in the 13-15 inch range, Most were 10-12 inches we did pull up a hand full of browns In the 8 inch range.
