Garmin Striker 4??
#1
People will want to know if you have the ice transducer or the boat transducer. I have the Striker 4 w/boat xducer that I have been using for ice fishing this season and doing Ok. I made this short video on 1/31 at Hyrum. Another member had the Ice xducer and I think that I would prefer it for ice fishing, but that is another $100.

Striker 4dv with boat transducer.

I almost had myself convinced to get the iceducer when I found it for $90 but will make do with what I have since it will go on the Jon boat the rest of the year.

I have a striker 7 I use ice fishing and in the summer on a small boat for the lakes. I got the ice transducer for it and it has a wider cone then the one that I use in the lakes, not familiar with the 4 but on the 7 the ice transducer doesn’t have all the screen view options when I’m using it but it has worked good so far. I originally rigged the boat transducer on an aluminum bar and would use a clamp to secure it to a piece of angle aluminum I mounted on my sled, just decided that the ice transducer with the float helped cut down on the stuff I was dragging out.

This was using the skimmer transducer. I just received the ice transducer, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.
