I've carefully read everyone's posts on this and reached a conclusion on what works based on the combined experiences. Anglinarcher comes closest with "confidence." The fish are triggered by the telepathic connection between the fisherman and the fish. TyeDyeTwins probably understood this as he said: "Think like a fish." I fish with techniques of controlling the lure to avoid fish and get away from fish. I suppose that is thinking like the bait. Now it makes scents.
