Jordan Lake High Uintas Report 9/18

Recently went backpacking in Naturalist Basin in the Uintas. We camped near Jordan Lake and spent all of Saturday fishing. Lots of 9-11 inch Brookies biting on Renegade flies behind a bobber, and gold/silver spinners. The fishing seemed to be best right before dark but you could coax a few from the deeper parts as well. Not sure the weather will remain warm enough to camp for much longer, but I'm certain day trips could still produce.

Did the Rock Creek fire impact your trip at all (access or smoke, ext)?

No we didn’t even notice the fire at all while out there.
