A Berry good day - 2/10

I played hooky on Wednesday to hit the hard deck with a long time friend/ex coworker. We decided to employ the shuttle services from the lodge to get out away from the normal spots. The lake wasn’t crowded by any stretch of the imagination. 

We started fishing around 12:30pm and had fairly steady action until they returned to pick us up at 4:45pm. 

We caught and released 30 fish between us ( 16 for my friend 14 for me). All slot cuts, my largest of the day approached 18”. We caught them on chartreuse or white tube jigs tipped with wax worms and spikes. Marked fish all through the column 6’-70’. Caught most of them around the 40’ mark. There were times when my flasher showed solid red down to 16’. When they happened I’d reel up and usually catch one there, but always got a bite or two.
