Gulf of Mexico in my area is starting to warm up which means big snook will be moving onto the beach. Me and a buddy went out this morning to see how things were looking. I played camera man as I only got 1 trout and lost a decent snook. We fished the north point of Anclote island on a strong incoming tide, stuck the boat right in the trough off the beach and just looked for cruising Snook. Got into a few but still a few weeks away from the big spawners to move in, fun day but I have had a bit too much sun the last couple of days, next week won’t help as I’ll be camping on Ft. Desoto island for 4 days. I should get some good flats fly fishing in next week though.
Water is warming up....

Another great report and pics Mike, wish we had that kind of weather here but it's snowing today. How big do those sea trout get?

Diddo what WH2 said. I might have to shovel snow today. A run at Sea Trout sounds really good right now
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew
