Boulder Mountain Icefishing
#1
Hey y'all!
I am wanting to take my wife on a small getaway. Are any of the boulder mountain lakes or reservoirs (that aren't closed during winter) accessible without the use of a snowmobile. Never been fishing up there and I'd love to take her but don't want to waste the drive if we can't access any of the lakes.
Thanks for any help!

Without a snowmobile may be a tough ask, I'd think the lakes I'm familiar with will be really hard to reach after the snow starts to fall, but I'm not a good one to ask, so I'll wait for those more familiar than I to help you out... I've never been there in the winter... Good luck... Jeff
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!

We've already had snow storms -- snotel is showing at least 10" of snow on the ground at most of the sensor sites on Boulder (20" at Sunflower Flat, 10" at Donkey, 15" at Clayton, 15" at Widtsoe).

What lake are you considering going to? We could probably give you a more specific answer if we knew where you were trying to get to...
