Ice was 10" where we were at.  5" clear and 5" white.
Terrible catching for me.  My one and only fish was a 19" tiger.  The fish my son in law and granddaughter were catching were cuts at least the one they showed me was and they never mentioned any bows.

We too fished Panguitch on News Years day.  Took us a while to get there due to snow and road conditions arriving around 9:30 am... Fished about 3 hours in the very cold and very windy condtions. Ice was approx 7-8". Fished in shallow 10' deep near the marina on South end. Ended up icing 5 cutts between two of us. Not much of any size to any of them.  Not real familiar with Panguitch to know where the better spots are but will be back again perhaps with some larger fish coming thru the hole
