Flaming Gorge Kokanee Fishing
#1
Check our latest video of our trip to beautiful Flaming Gorge.  This is the Kokanee fishing parts of the same trip we caught the big laker.
We'd like to give a special thanks to Schindler's Fly Shack for his awesome kokanee trolling flies.  As always thank you for supporting the videos and we hope to see you on the water.

Great looking fish. Looks like some were caught in the wyoming side and some in the utah canyons. Did you see large schools in the canyons?

We did fish both the Wyoming side and Utah side.  Unfortunately at the time we were there we didn't see any schools anywhere.  It was kinda disheartening to think that the kokanee were that spread out.  Heading up tomorrow for another crack at it .  Hopefully we see (and catch) a few good ones.

Great video. How deep were you catching them? We seem to fish mostly the same locations and it's been way slower than normal. We're not marking schools of Kokes either, when I mark a school they've been Rainbows. What depth were you finding them at mostly?

We fished the Gorge for Kokanee last week.
It was on the Utah side in Jarvie Bay.
Got a late start and didn't start fishing till almost 7:30 am.
The Kokes were still willing and we caught a few that were 16" to 17" but the rest were smaller.

The fish were deep at 40' to 60' depths.
Only fished one day for Kokanee.

Enjoying the Gorge for the week. Catching a few Kokes and even had some luck with a couple of Lakers. I'll have some pictures and hopefully a video when we return home.
