New Catfish Videos
#1
Since I got my GoPro camera last fall, I have had a few requests to put together some kind of video on catfish.  Since then I have been digging through past photo and writing files…and shooting fishing videos…to gather content.  I also put together an outline of topics to cover and began fleshing it out.  The results are a two part video I have entitled “CATFISH…FROM HOOK TO PAN”.  The first video is about where and how to catch catfish.  The second is what to do with them after you’ve caught them…handling, filleting and cooking…with some recipes.

I flatter myself that I am at least somewhat qualified to hold forth on the subject of catfish.  I have been chasing them for over 60 years.  I have been fortunate to have been able to sample catfish waters in over 15 states and have caught and eaten every species in the country.

A lot of the video is “classroom” stuff…with lists and diagrams.  But there is also a lot of “fish porn” from my archives…and some new videos on various catfish topics.  Not looking to make Oprah’s favorites list, but I hope my ramblings will both entertain and enlighten fellow catfish fans.  However, you’ve really gotta be a masochist to sit through both videos.  Part one is just over an hour long.  Part 2 is just under an hour.  Fair warning.

Yeah, I know.  Catfish are not a glamor species.  But at least no trout or kokanee were harmed in the making of these videos.

Great stuff as always Pat. I give you full credit for the wealth of knowledge I've leaned from you over the years, especially in the way of the Flig.
Without the flig I would fish Willard much less in the Spring and the Fall, it has opened up a whole new world for us and not just at Willard.

Always great to share the water with ya, Lee.  Making up some new Buzz "shorties".  At our age it is getting more difficult to get buzzed...by anything.

Me...ow!  I guess it's true that we are what we eat.

Most folks agree the mask does wonders for my appearance.  At least it "masks" some of the ravages of my aging physiognomy.  But when it comes to pictures, some of us want justice.  Others want mercy.
