Utah lake state park report
#1
Went fishing at the state park.  I caught a northern pike last week out at the end of the dike.  White bass are in the harbor.  Occasionally pick up crappies and perch on the docks.

Thanks for the report and pics, that's a nice mixed bag of pan fish and a Northern to boot, can't beat that. Were you using cut bait for the Pike?

I caught it while fishing for crappies with small jigs.

Can I safely assume that there was not yet any ice that you could walk on?

As of yesterday, only patches of ice in the harbor.  Hopefully in January there will be safe ice to walk on.

I went out to and fish this morning.  The temperature was 8 degrees at 7:30 am.  The ice was about 1” thick in the harbor.  I saw several fishermen walked on the ice over to the 2 sail boat docks.  I caught 1 crappie, 1 bluegill, and lots of perch.

That's a nice bunch of fish, good to hear it is still fishing well. Were there a bunch of people out there today?

Due to the cold temperature, not as many fishermen out in the morning.
