Had nothing going today, so drove up to Rockport for a first-hand look-see. About 3-4 parties on the ice --- some out from the ramp, some out from that last restroom in the SW corner. Walked out to see how they were doing. Not even a bite in 34-40', but the ice was a solid 5 1/2" --- measured. Ditto with my drive to Echo, tho the ice there was 4". Both had solid shoreline access and a skiff of snow on top, but not enough to leave the cleats home. A good snowy trail down the hill which after this wkend will probably turn into a luge run. Cannot wait to go.
