Rejected at Rockport
#1
Decided to give the perch a try today at Rockport.  My trip amounted to a sound rejection.  Only caught 3 small 4" perch from 7 until 11:30.  First tried the west side between the 1st and second bathrooms.  The lake is up about 15 feet or so from last year.  What was 45' last year is 60'+ now.  Ran a dozen holes back towards the west bank and no takers.  No mark's either.  Picked up about 9am and decided to move towards the upper end where a half dozen shelters were out.  Parked at the 2nd bathroom and walked midway out in 30'.   Drilled another 8-10 holes moving further out and nothing but the 3 small ones.  Only a couple mark's there.  Threw in the towel at 11:30.  I wanted to try off the State Park ramp, but that will have to wait till next time.

Several of the shelters had jaw jackers out for trout.  I didn't see anyone catch anything in the 2nd location

Sorry to hear the catching was so poor but don't feel bad, it has been a tough ice season for a lot of us. Hopefully thing will improve but until then, I think I'll just stick with the trout and maybe get lucky and catch a koke or two.
