Fished various depths off the main boat ramp with no success. Not even a bite. Marked very few fish on the finder as well. Ice is 12" thick at least.

Well that's too bad, did you by chance check out the PWC ramp? I've been hearing the ice is a lot thinner on that side of the lake.

Because of the thick ice and all the snow on the main ramp side, we haven't been up there yet this year but last year we did pretty good on the left side of the main ramp. I read that there was only 6 to 8" of ice on the PWC and much less snow.

Two of us fished the main ramp side yesterday for about 7 hours. Caught one nice rainbow on white jig tipped with nightcrawler. Saw infrequent, small groups of mostly small fish on the fish finder suspended 8-20'. They wouldn't touch anything. We were fishing in 30-40' of water- would have liked to try shallower but it was difficult wading through the snow. Did get one strike on the jigging Jaw Jacker using the aggressive wheel and a a light flutter spoon tipped with night crawler but he came unbuttoned before I could get to the rod. We tried everything- night crawlers, wax worms, meal worms, tiny jig, big jigs, glow, flutter spoons, dead stick, light jigging, aggressive jigging the entire water column. I think we gave it a fair shot but without luck. Better have your park pass and fishing license handy because DWR arrived to check less than a minute after we parked- must have been watching the cameras. BTW, we were going to fish the PWC side but some parts looked sketchy. Couldn't tell if the patches were open water or slush and didn't want to take a chance.
If any of you have thought of converting your sled to a smitty sled, I highly recommend it. The skis made a world of difference in pulling ease with the foot of snow over the ice.

Just went for a drive.

Fished Rock Cliff yesterday afternoon good clear ice with 12+" cloudy on top with 4" hard snow no slush. Two of us had 8 bows in 2.5 hrs in 17 fow fish at 10-15. Its a long way to the water but fished better than last week off the PWC ramp where there was spots of slush and thin ice west of the ramp.
