3/18/23-  Couple feet of ice, with crusty snow on top and slush layers between. Auger motor was just about touching when water was reached.

They filmed this weeks episode of Outdoors with Adam Eakle at Starvation, on channel 5, I'm watching the show right now but they will repeat the episode tomorrow at noon, if you want to see it. They accessed the ice with no problem on snowmobiles, right at the main ramp but the conditions are slushy, the ice is 18". They were mainly catching bows but also a few walleye right about dark.

Outdoors with Adam Eakle on Starvation was filmed on March 14. Conditions on the ice, as far as slush, were probably at their worst at that point. Since then, most of the slushy areas have refrozen and getting around has been easier. There is approximately 2 - 3' of soft ice to cross at the main boat ramp.
