Hit the bay with the family after the boys football practice at about 6. Like tube dude said in his post water is dropping but still pretty good for August. Went looking for wipers none were harmed on this trip but the cats were more than willing to play. We kept 4 for dinner and threw back as many we were fishing crank baits.

Thanks for the report, did you have to deal with a lot of wake boarders and skiers? Most of the Boils I'm hearing about are coming from the East side of the lake between Freeway bay and Pelican beach, some North of that too. Glad you were able to get out and the cats gave you some tugs.

Not as many as I thought once I got away from the south maraina it was a pretty quiet night. I might need to head that way next time we were fishing out by the light pole

No really sure why but I'm not hearing much on the South end of the lake. The key is finding those big schools of shad and you will find those wipers and watch for the birds diving too.
