Lost Creek Drive By
#1
Had some spare time on Tuesday (12/10) so took a little drive to Lost Creek.
Not a sliver of ice to be seen anywhere.  Not much snow either.
Didn't have enough time to make a cast.  Quick trip.
I may have to head down to Electric or Huntington and check them out.

They did have the $10 parking toll booth & pay envelopes in place and ready.

Thanks for the drive by report, I've been thinking about going up there for some chubs or maybe kokes. Did you notice if anyone was out there in a boat?

Hey you mentioned the fee, is LC a state park? or is it a separate fee? I see the Feds are starting to charge fees for all trailheads for snowmobiles and such after the first of the year... Got to love all the fees everyone is starting to charge for what was once "free"dom.... Maybe it will lower the number of users so it's a better experience, but I kind of doubt it, it will just cost us more to play... Later J

Jeff,

Can you substantiate that with a link to the details and what trails will be affected?  I can't find any resource, Federal or State, that says this will happen.

Thank you for providing that link, I had just heard it on KSL so wasn't sure of the full details... Sounds like it wasn't as extensive as I was afraid, just two areas that I formerly frequented were hit, but there were two others that I was afraid were on the list that weren't.... So a little good news along with the bad... except now it will push all the use to the other sledding trailheads so you'll have to get there in the dark to get a parking spot... Guess the summer ATVing will be effected similarly... Thanks again providing that link... J
