E-lake and huntington (Report) kinda?

well i would like to say that i caught lot's of fish at both lakes but i can't!! could not even get to the ice on E-lake.. and no problem getting to the ice on huntington...big priblem getting through the ice at huntington tho.. i went down as far as my auger would go and did not even get past the slush on top the ice.. did hit somthing down about 4 feet that was solid but thats the end of the reach of my auger.. so just pack it up for the day.. maybe try for joe's valley or fish lake sunday..

When does ice off usually occur at Huntington?

So would you say the ice is still safe at Huntington (assuming they haven't drained the water from under the ice again this year)? (LOL) That has got to hurt to auger through that much ice by hand, and not even hit water!

oh i think the ice is safe enough to drive the space shuttle with the 747 and the lauch pad to boot on it.. come on guy's we are talking 48" + inches of ice on this lake[].. well i know i can get thrugh at Joe's valley and fish lake so thats my next trip to try..

you not kidding about hurt after trying to get that hand auger thrugh..and the bad part was after all that work i still did not even get to fish [pirate]
