you can fish from shore at the American Fork boat harbor, the Lindon boat harbor, the Utah Lake State Park, Lincoln Beach, and ALMOST anywhere else you could think of. More than half the lake is free of ice now.

I was there from 5:30-6:30 pm yesterday and it was pretty slow. The water has gone up by about two feet and I saw one boat out by the north dike. I caught one crappie bankfishing the north dike. It was quite breezy also so that may have turned the fish off since it made the water murkier than usual. The owner of LBH told me that some people were catching walleye outside the harbor by the points.

The crappie was caught on a small pink/white tube jig dipped in crawfish smelly jelly, about 14" below a bobber. I had several hits on it, but no big takers. That color combination has been productive for me at Utah Lake, especially when the water is still cold.
