Bear Creek - Fishing continues to be very good with dry flies. For the next few weeks use patterns like the BWO and the PMD in the mornings and evenings, with an Elk Hair Caddis midday. Depending on the water level, this fall should provide some very good fishing with dries and nymphs #18 and smaller. Olive colors and peacock colored flies work best. The water should be super clear into winter. The upper stretches of this creek usually freeze in late November and the ice eventually works its way downstream to Denver.
