Went to the little bear near Wellsville today. I caught 4 Rainbows, 2 Whitefish, and 1 20+ inch carp. Just like realing in a dead log. They weren't going for spinners much, the best thing to do was sink a work and let it swirl around for about five or ten minutes. If anyone has any other rivers near here that they've done well at, reply.

[red]Welcome to BFT. This is a nice time of year to fish down below Hyrum dam now that the water is over the spillway. It is all private property but folks have been good to let us in. Best access is from the hiway 101 side. All the big browns seem to come out of the woodwork above third dam in Logan canyon when it gets a little higher runoff here in the near future. [/red]

The Logan River and the Blacksmith Fork can be very good fishing throughout the year. Things will get a little tough in the next couple of weeks as the runoff comes down, but then things will clear up and the fishing will improve. I especially like to fish the Logan River because the fish are plentiful, the scenery is great, and almost the entire river in the canyon is surrounded by public land.
