Saturday was the day of relief as far as the wind and weather. We managed to get a break between the storms just 30 miles to the south and a line of showers in the pan-handle. It was like glass as we rounded the channel and headed straight out to 30ft with all the live bait and frozen we needed. The tides have been funny. Not much water moving offshore. The shorts were short order for the morning, no problem getting action with squid and cut bait, mostly grunt and mullet. Out to 50ft the red grouper again were plentyful but short. Finally 60ft and we strarted trolling the Manns Black and silver with the red eyes. Nice fish and and six keepers in a matter of minutes. Over all we caught 60 to 70 fish. Twelve wound up on ice and everybody had there arms stretched.
