Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
The crappie spawn is about over. There are still some very good catches showing you at the ramps. These late spawners are being caught on jigs and minnows. The smaller the bait the better. Catfishing is very good. The catfish are in a pre spawn mood. Most are about 20' to 22' close to the shoreline. Shrimp, nightcrawlers and leeches are working well. They are moving along the deeper rock shorelines that have channels nearby. Largemouth are hitting spinnerbaits and plastic worms close to the buckbrush. Bluegill are beginning to spawn and are hitting a lot of different baits. The early summer patterns are beginning to show. The water temp was 67 degrees in Lake

TIP: Think summer.

BITS AND PIECES: Which is worse, "Wish I had or wish I haddened"?

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
