can anyone tell me how you get a picture of a fish under the auther's name.

Welcome Magnaman. The icons are based on the number of posts. 0=Greenhorn, 5=Bait, 25=shiner, 50=brookie, 100=weakfish, 200=perch,300=rainbow, 400=calico bass, 500=walleye and on and on and ................

I asked the same question yesterday. If you check out my post (fish symbols?) someone left me a complete list of the number of post needed for each picture all the way up to 10000 posts.
