Fished Willard on Saturday Morning. Tried everything in the tackle box. Tried for crappie in the north marina for about two hours and no hits. There were at least 20 other fisherman there and I didn't see anyone catch any, although one angler said he had caught 4 earlier. Went out to the west dike to try for Walleye and Wipers. Tried everything I could think of, still no luck. Bagged it and headed up to Mantua. Water was beautiful could see to the bottom and could watch your lure coming back at ya. Had a few decent bass follow a perch rapala but no bites.



Bad day fishing is better than any other day.

Willard is a tough lake to fish this time of the year, it will get better later this month. It won't be long before those little shad start hatching and then the real fun will begin. WH2

I have been to willard twice this year with no luck too. But I had a good time though.
