Subject: [CRWC] Saturday, May 8th 10 AM - Nature Walk in Royal Oak

Good Morning Clinton River Watershed Enthusiasts -

You are invited to join the Royal Oak Nature Society for a Nature Walk on
Saturday, May 8th at 10 AM in the Tenhave Woods. Yes, that's right, the
City of Royal Oak has some unique natural areas! Why not spend a few hours
this weekend learning the natural history of the Red Run as it once flowed
through Royal Oak!

See the red and white trilliums out in their splendor! Over 300 plants have
been identified in the parks of Royal Oak...Jack-in-the pulpit, wood
poppies, spring beauty, violets, wild geranium, bellwort, foam flower, wood
anemone, false Solomon's seal and more.

Come see the wild side of Royal Oak!!!

Directions to Tenhave Woods: From Crooks Rd. and 13 Mile Rd. go north on
Crooks. The first traffic light is Lexington Street turn East, continue
until you get to Marais (this is as far as you can go Lexington become one
way from the other direction here). There is a parking lot on your left.
Follow the sidewalk thought the soccer field to a gate and turnstile on the
fence, there is an American flag there.

The Royal Oak Nature Society is a citizen group organized to provide nature
programs in Royal Oaks nature parks. Tenhave Woods and Cummingston park are
the only two of Royal Oaks 53 parks preserved as nature study areas. We
offer free nature walks and a speakers program to the public. We give walks
to school, scout and other groups. We have a School Nature Night program
where we put up different displays on nature subject into a school on an
evening. We are building and maintaining the trails, and continuing the
flora and fauna surveys started in the 1970's, and we are in the Clinton
Watershed. You can get information about us at
