Hey there davetclown,
Caution: fishing nude may lead to severe sunburn.
Cool fishing clothes: Seen those dressed to the 9's that must have had someone pay for every patch.
Hey Petty4life: What's the difference between a well sponsored nascar and a bass pro's jump suit, hat, and glasses!? ha ha ha
Maybe that's why we like both sooooooooooo well!

The clothes don't mean didly squat unless the fisherman has a nice BFT logo on them. Otherwise he/she is just a wannabe. ha ha.
Take a look at the color of fly fishing vests and tell me if they make them in bright colors. I don't think so. For some reason those little earth tones help you blent in a little better around mountain streams and rivers.
I personally shy away form wearing bright clothes while fishing. It's more of a common sense type of thing. If you want the fish to attack your nice shiny spookaflash, squiggly tailed, rattlebonker then you need to be at a neutral contrast to your lures.[cool]

I was hiking along a trail above the Green once with my young cousin. I would spot a fish and then tell him to come over and look at it. When he came into view the fish would spook. I was wearing earth toned clothes and he was wearing a red 49ers jersey. It was pretty convincing evidence for me.
For a short time they used to make pink fly vests for women. They might have been fashionable at the time but I don't think they helped the catch rate for those who wore them.
